Stratified random sampling was
used to ensure an appropriate balance
of representativeness across the surveyed
cities. The sample size for each
city was determined to be roughly proportional
to its total population size (cf.
Table 1). The recruited samples generally
show relatively good gender balance
but a higher concentration of younger
and more educated people in our sample
compared with the general population
(cf. Table 2).
