FIRE HIGHLIGHT 观 察 During the Training Elite Effect: An Independent, Volunteer Rescue Team T A focused mission and lack of red tape can foster a highly effective home-grown special rescue force. wo helicopters, more than ten 4X4 SUVs, one powerboat, one rescue boat, three multifunction trucks, more than 100 private business entrepreneurs from different industries equipped with high-performance tools along with their special skills teamed up as an independent, volunteer rescue team. In the early April 2014, Yiwu nongovernmental rescue organization has been established by several entrepreneurs in Yiwu city, China. On May 18th, 2014, Zhejiang province hosted The Tour of Zhejiang bicycle competition, Yiwu independent rescue team played the role of path reconnaissance, safeguard and medical rescue support, under the request of the organizer. On the day of competition, Yiwu rescue team had arranged eight motorcycles, three 4X4 vehicles and one ambulance. 60 team members contributed their time and tools to fully support the safety of the event. This rescue team has undertaken two security missions, one forest park search and one flood rescue mission within four months since its establishment. “That rescue team is impressive!
