Author's Note All the recipes in this book were gathered with the concern of the owner that requested to be anonymous. The recipes were collected from someone that is local in the state they are living and had stayed in the respective state for quite some time. I welcomed any corrections and advices if there were any error or misconceptions in the recipes. All the photograph were taken by me and cooked by a dear friend of mine guided by recipes that had been gathered earlier. Gathering the recipes was made through phone calls, face to face interviews and even from an old recipe book. I am grateful that I managed to gather 13 unique recipes of Sambal from all 13 states. I really appreciate their cooperation and their willingness to share these magnificent treasures. I really hope this booklet will be beneficial to everyone especially to people who have high preference and interest with Malaysia’s Sambal. Let's appreciate and celebrate more of Malaysia's heritage and preserve it for future generations.
