ACTIVITY: PREGNANCY SCENARIOS

Group Size Whole class or smaller groups of 3 – 6 Time Unit: Section

5 – 10 minutes Unit 1: Stages of Labor

Purpose

To reinforce the understanding of normal pregnancy occurrences, discomforts and ways to stay as comfortable as possible. Encourages brainstorming, collaboration and discussion.

Preparation

Print the following pages on card stock with the scenarios on the front and answers on the back, cut out and laminate.

Procedure

Divide the class into small groups and hand each group 2-3 cards to discuss. Encourage each person to share one idea for each scenario.

Alternative Methods

Read and discuss a scenario to introduce or wrap up / reinforce a topic.
