All Business with Mrs. Clack
Behind the scenes with Brother Rice staff

Our society tends to aggrandize the
famous. The group of people who get
left out are those some people refer to
as “unsung heroes” or “behind-thescenes individuals” – people who make
substantive, yet unrecognized, contributions. Here at Brother Rice, there
are a few individuals who work night
and day to better the development and
success of the school and its students.
One of these individuals is Mrs.
Clack, who works in the Business
Office. Most students probably know
who she is, because she handles the
tickets for homecoming. Some of you
may also remember that she won two
cash prizes during our Raffle giveaways last semester. “I’m usually not
that lucky,” she said.
Mrs. Clack is the Business Office
manager and has been working at
Brother Rice since 2011. Her department handles
the finances
going in and out
of the school
and makes sure
everything is accounted for.
Mrs. Clack appreciates Brother
Rice and enjoys
Mrs. Clack
the opportunity
to provide an essential role in the
advancement of the school and its
mission.
“I really like the diversity that’s in
the finance office, and I think a lot of
us have that same thing,” she said.
“There’s nothing that’s the same thing
from one day to the next.
“So sometimes we are dealing more
with students, sometimes we are deal-
ing more with parents.
“A lot of it is parent interaction. Just
hearing and seeing the inner-workings
of the school is interesting.”
Regarding the parent interaction,
Mrs. Clack says that it involves tuition,
scholarships, special events, dress
down days, etc. Her tasks vary from
month to month, based on the focus in
and around the school at that certain
time.
One fun fact about Mrs. Clack is
that both of her sons live in mountain
states, Montana and Colorado. On
one of her trips out west, she climbed
Mount Oberlin in Montana. While she
wishes her sons lived closer, she loves
going to visit them.
As anyone who has had a conversation with Mrs. Clack can tell, she is an
extraordinarily kind and hard-working
person.
She is very proud to work at Brother
Rice. She is a true Warrior.

We have big news for all you car
lovers! DeLorean is going to go back
into production, and they are going to
start off with a bang. DeLorean Motor
Company broke ground in Detroit in
the year 1975, and was active for seven
years before it went bankrupt in 1982.
The only car that this company ever
made was the DMC-12. This certain
model was a sports car made with gullwing doors.
This car can be seen in the movie
series, Back to the Future, which gave car
collectors the desire to make the car part
of their coll
