Soccer: The reigning Catholic League
Champions look to repeat next year, with
another strong Catholic Central team
standing in the way.
Tennis: Led by Jack Winkler, the
team looks to repeat as Catholic League
Champs and make a run at the State Title.

Basketball: A very young 2015-16 team
will now just be young, and it looks to
use the experience it gained in a tough
season to improve.
Bowling: This group will need some
new faces to emerge to make up for the
loss of most of their top bowlers.
Hockey: The team once again will be
competing with powerhouse Catholic

Baseball: The 2017 squad will lose stars
from a State Championship-caliber 2016
team that is hungry for a State Title after
early playoff exits the past two years.
Golf: The team will lose a lot of Senior
talent, so it will look to some members of
JV to step in and contribute immediately.
Lacrosse: We all know how this season
is ending. Despite the loss of key Seniors,
the team still will be expected to win its
14th straight State Championship.
Sailing (also a Fall sport): After gaining popularity in its first year, the team
hopes to grow in numbers and respect.
Track: Most of this year’s team will not
be present next year, but there is still tons
of young talent ready to fill the gaps left
by the departing Seniors.

Here’s what to expect from the extracurricular world outside of sports:
Chess Club: After a great first
season under Mrs. Zink, we’re looking
forward to what is to come.
Robotics: Coming off strong showings at States and the World Championships, the team is losing key members to college. Who will Mrs. Savage
find to fill their shoes?
Quiz Bowl: Mrs. Nuss and the Quiz
Bowl team had a solid season, as both
JV teams and a team of Freshmen had
strong finishes at their competitions.
Debate: Mr. Walentowicz’s team
finished 5th in the state for public
forum debate. Their sights are set on a
State Championship next year.
Marian-Rice Players: The MarianRice Players put on two fantastic
shows this year, Peter Pan and Beauty
and the Beast. The troupe is already
busy planning for 2016-17.
