A Brother Rice Horror Story

As the day grew dark and the night came weary , a nameless Freshman walked into Brother Rice High School on the night of Oct . 31 . He had forgotten his iPad in Mr . W ’ s speech class .
Upon entry , ominous fog floated across his feet and the main lobby was filled with a chilling sight : Every single one of the TVs in the lobby were displaying a video of “ Chieftain Live ” host Brayden Willis speaking in tongues with extremely distorted , loud , and unusual audio behind his speech . The extremely grotesque and creepy scene left the Freshman trembling in his boots .
Suddenly , like a flash of lightning , our hero arrived . Moving with the speed of an uncaged cheetah and the agility of a hummingbird , the Supreme Warrior ran into the main entrance wielding a baseball bat and smashed every single television displaying the “ Chieftain Live ” figurehead .
“ Who are you ?” the Freshman said in shock . The Man of Strength looked the Freshman right in the eyes .
“ It ’ s me ,” he said , as he grabbed the Youngling ’ s hand . “ It ’ s Dean Williamson .”
The two ran down the hallway while Mr . Williamson explained to the Nameless One that they must leave since “ Chieftain Live ” would eat them alive if they stayed over the course of the night . The Nameless One told him that he needed to get his iPad ; Mr . Williamson agreed and took him to the only place that he knew would help , Mr . Shaffer ’ s room .
Mr . Shaffer , head of the Chieftain , greeted the two and , upon learning of their situation , granted them an explanation of what was to come .
“ Both of you will encounter the Three Trials of Chieftain Live . It is a grueling task and you must be skilled in order to get through it . All I can tell you is I will
be watching over you , Trial Three will be the easiest , and you must remember …” his tone turned somber , “ you must remember that ‘ Chieftain Live ’ is not really live .”
Mr . Shaffer then granted the Nameless two talismans : noise-cancelling headphones and a battery-powered blender .
“ These all will be extremely important over the course of your journey ,” he said , “ so use them sparingly .”
With Mr . Shaffer ’ s wisdom and blessing , the Supreme Warrior and the Youngling ventured into the hallway , ready to face their First Trial .
The man and boy stumbled across their first trial , three “ Chieftain Live ” members playing extremely loud and annoying music from two mega speakers . One of the “ Chieftain Live ” members explained that failure to win this trial would mean they would be cursed to listen to this horrible music for the rest of their days .
“ Why did they think this was ever a good segment ?” questioned The Young Lad . “ It ’ s just obnoxious and a filler for a story !”
Then , in a flash , their skin began to melt off due to how annoyingly loud the music was . The Nameless One began to hyperventilate and run around in a panic . However , The Supreme Warrior put two-and-two together and simply walked through the three members with the noise-cancelling headphones on . He then put the headphonesto on his companion , and they ran toward their next trial . The two adventurers sprinted down D-Wing , hoping to avoid “ Chieftain Live ” but , just as time goes on , “ Chieftain Live ” is unavoidable .
They came across their second trial , where “ Chieftain Live ” members held an iPad and a boom microphone , asking for an interview . The “ Chieftain Live ” members stalked and prowled around our protagonists and made them extremely uncomfortable with every step .
“ Let us record you ,” one of the members said . “ It is for the greater good .”
The “ Chieftain Live ” member then explained that , if they were unable to conquer the second trial , they would be recorded by “ Chieftain Live ” for all of eternity . In a flash of rage and passion , the Youngling screamed , “ Never !” He took the microphone and shoved it into the blender . The two “ Chieftain Live ” members looked up to the Nameless and began shouting at him .
