Though there are many characters and
historical facts mentioned, it is never
confusing and is simply written. It is a joy to
read and will appeal to
readers of all ages – I didn’t want to put it

Dear Sir,
To help with transport to Petersfield, there will
be a minibus from central Chichester.
My husband and I have been members of the
CYC since 1998 after I worked as a book-
Kind Regards
keeper in the Club’s office. The lovely
surroundings of Chichester Marina inspired me
Barbara Cluff
to write stories for children.
My main character, a little red squirrel called
Chestie Nut, has allowed me to invite you to
the launch of my new book ‘A Polish
Symphony’ at One Tree Books, 7 Lavant St,
Petersfield GU32 3EL, on the 23rd October
2018 at 6pm.
‘This is a wonderful story based on true facts of
very sad times in Poland’s history, told through
the eyes of a family from the end of the 19th
Century to the Second World War. One really
gets to know the characters, their sorrows and
joys, which give a very personal insight into
Poland’s history.
