A very Happy New Year to everyone .
We will have had the club ’ s New Year ’ s Eve celebrations by the time you read this although I am writing this at the end of December .
A big thank-you to all our staff who make this event so special for everyone who welcomes in the New Year at CYC .
Many of you have said how much you like the 2017 Programme which has been sent out to everyone with the renewal letter .
Another very big thank-you to everyone who worked so hard to get this finished by the middle of December . It was a mammoth task as it is very different from previous years .
You will have seen the gold print on the front and know this is the 50 th year of the modern club having been re-formed in 1967 . We are celebrating this over the bank holiday weekend of 29 th April to 1 st May .
Please put your name and membership number on the back and add any stories about your experiences and drop them into the office . We will scan them and get them back to you . Thank you , you will have made a big contribution to the history of the club .
We will let you know soon what else we plan for that weekend but do put the date in your diaries as we would like to see as many members as possible during that weekend .
There is also a plea from the Dinghy section to all sections to help with the winter race series . If you feel like putting on your weather proof clothing and joining in , do let Mark Green know as he will be very grateful for your assistance .

We are keen to gather as much information about the club over this period as we can so we can display photos and stories over the weekend and through the month of May . We don ’ t have many photos and stories of the club prior to the digital age . Please could you look through your albums and lend us any photos you may have of these early years at CYC .
