Club opening hours in 2020. We have been able to finetune our opening hours having studied visiting patterns and listened to your feedback. We will remain open 7 days a week and are replacing our Winter and Summer hours with Peak and Low season hours. The low season hours will run from October 1st to April 30th and the main difference is that the Club will remain open an extra 30 minutes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. Over Easter, the Peak hours will be kept. • • • Coffee/tea and cakes available from 10am every day Times are last orders. The Club will normally close 30 minutes after last orders. CYC reserves the right to close early subject to demand. If you are planning to come to the Club for supper and you are running late, please call through to the Bar to let them know you are on your way. We will endeavour to keep something hot for you. Have your details changed? If you have moved to a new address, changed your email or phone number, sold your boat, bought a new one or changed marina for example, we would like to hear from you so we can update your details on our database. As you know from our Data Protection statement available from our website at www.cyc.co.uk/data-protection/ we have very strict rules regarding the use of your personal information. We do however need up-to-date information for Club communication and would be grateful if you could keep us informed of any significant changes. We look forward to seeing you in the Club over the festive season. Keep warm and Happy Boating! A note from Drew Gibson, CYC Senior Instructor With the nights drawing in and the temperature dropping, there is less training happening out on the water than in the summer months but there are still good turnouts for lots of the sessions that are running through the winter. October half-term saw the first offerings of winter training, and the Turbo Re- gatta on the Friday proved popular with both the adult and junior sailors. I hope that we can make this an annual event to kickstart the winter racing and train- ing. In November, we had eight junior sailors out on a lovely Sunday afternoon, with the Frozen Toe racers also out on the water. There are sessions for adults and juniors throughout the rest of the winter, with some between Christmas and New Year! We are also completing lots of maintenance with the dinghies, pontoons and boat park, thanks to the Midweek Working Party, who come down to the club on Wednesday mornings. 5
