December is the time of year for both festive
enjoyment and reflections. I really do not know
where the year has gone. 2017 was a very
important year for the Club, as we celebrated
our 50th Anniversary which is quite an
achievement given the changes we have
experienced over the last 50 years.
I have been to several other
harbour clubs now and one
theme emerges in
conversation and that is the
excellent facilities we have at
the Club - our restaurant, our
safe, uncluttered waters and
excellent harbour views. CYC
seems to be the club to be a
member of in the harbour.
We have also extended our restaurant opening
times to include the afternoon period. I know
this is the time of year when many members
are in the area carrying out winter tasks on
their boats, so now you know where to come if
you need a hot drink and something to eat.
The success of CYC as a club is reliant on our
loyal, hardworking and dedicated staff. I would
encourage you to show your appreciation for
their work by donating to our Staff Fund. You
can do this by either putting some money in the
tins provided or by donating
with your membership card.

us, the Club is being

have started and we have

planned for you:
