IT’S GOOD TO BE OPEN AGAIN! It has been great to see so many of you coming to enjoy a meal or drink in the garden/club, the weather has been mostly kind and the garden has been well used. I write this after serving 135 meals on a Sunday lunch. We have the feeling of hitting the ground running which is nice after the past few months. Thank you for wearing face coverings around the inside of the Club. Although they are not the easiest or nicest garments, one major piece of feedback we have had has been how people feel safe within the Club and that CYC is one of only a few places that some people visit. Once you are at your table or in the garden the covering can be removed. Your support is much appreciated. We do have a stock of reusable masks in the Bar/Office, they are £2 each. The breweries are now getting back to capacity, we now have London Pride and Dark Star Hophead on the ale pumps. Amstel and Aspall Cider are the other draught products currently on tap. I hope by the time you are reading this Kronenbourg will be back in stock and on tap but the brewing process has taken a little longer. Bookings are not essential but any advanced notice that you are coming to eat with us would be appreciated, this helps with organising the tables and the food that the chefs prep for in advance. The garden area is first come first serve and we will serve food and drink to your tables out there, but we ask that you order from the server station that is found in the bar area, please have your table number when you order. Currently we cannot open the bar and normal service is closed until the current restrictions are lifted. Dogs are still welcome in the garden and the Wheelhouse but space is limited so please book/call in advance to reserve a table or so we can advise the availability of the Wheelhouse. We have water on tap for the pampered pooches and a few boxes of doggy biscuits in stock. Please can you ensure that dogs are kept on leads at all times while on the premises. Hannah, my youngest, has broken up for the school holidays, she enjoyed going back to school for a short period. I imagine we will see quite a few families over the next few weeks. I hope we have some great weather so everyone can enjoy the water and the Club over the coming weeks. Once again, thank you for your support and if we haven’t seen you yet, I hope we do very soon. 5
