Sunday 5/30 only: Swiss (G/60) U2000 and U1600; and Grades K-3 (G/30) U1200 and U600.
Monday 5/31 only: Hexads/Octos (G/60); and Grades K-6 (G/30) U1400 and U800.
100% Guaranteed. State Championship title to highest scoring MA resident or student in each
section. Unrated may play in any section but may not win 1st or 2nd prize or title except in Open.
Open: $600-300-150, U2250 $150.
U2000: $300-200-100.
U1800: $300-200-100.
U1600: $250-150-100, U1400 $100.
Most interesting game prizes: Open, $300; U2000 $200; U1800 $150, U1600, $100
Saturday Hexads/Octos: $50-$25 in each six player section, $60-$40 in each eight player section.
Sunday Four round Swiss: 55% of entry fees returned as prizes in each section; $50 minumum
guaranteed to first place in the U2000 section.
Monday Hexads/Octos: $50-$25 in each six player section, $60-$40 in each eight player section.
Scholastic sections: Trophies to the top three players in each section; medals to all players scoring
at least three points and not winning a trophy.
• Half-point byes available in rounds 1-6 in 3-day sections (except no half point bye round 6 in
Open section), limit 2, rounds 4-6 must commit before round 2.
• USCF & home state membership required. MACA dues $12 adult, under 18: $6, other states accepted.
• Rate changes 5/1: adult $20 (with printed mailed copy of Chess Horizons) or $12 (without),
junior $14 (with printed mailed copy of Chess Horizons) or $6 (without).
• MACA Annual Meeting Sunday 5/30 at 3 PM, Massachusetts Blitz Championship Sunday 5/30
at 9 PM. MACA Auction Monday 5/31 at 1:00 PM.
