Polar Express train ride brings new fun every year

Everyone is invited to experience the magic of the Polar Express on the historic Texas State Railroad this holiday season. Daily rides depart from the Victorian-style Palestine station every weekend from Nov. 14 through Dec. 28, and many weekdays in between.
More than a train ride, the one-hour, 50-mile voyage is an immersive experience that delights travelers of all ages with the sights, sounds and tastes described in the classic“ The Polar Express” picture book by Chris Van Allsburg and portrayed in the 2004 movie by Warner Brothers Pictures.
The voyage is a cinematic journey that builds anticipation as dancing chefs turn each page to display the book’ s illustrations while a soundtrack narrates the story.
