This train painting at Tiger’ s Alignments and More in Rusk was completed by Lacey Price Oct. 1. as people will see her working and ask if she can also do a particular project they want completed.
“ I get in the zone. I thoroughly enjoy it,” Price said of her painting.“ It’ s what I do for fun. I could paint all day on windows and still go home and work on a painting for fun to relax.
“ I like to have a project all the time. I don’ t like to sit still very much. I have to be doing something.”
Price said she’ s sold some of her paintings, noting she’ s also painted or airbrushed a number of objects including softball helmets, concrete tomatoes, mailboxes, T-shirts, motorcycles and even caskets.
“ I air brush. I do automotive painting. I paint any kind of media,” she said. In between painting jobs, Price provides organizational and handyman jobs.
When she’ s not working, Price said she enjoys riding her Harley and spending time outdoors. She has several pets, including a German Shepherd, four cats and some fish, which also claim some of her time.
“ I’ m always willing to take baby animals,” she said, noting she used to have a turtle and a possum.
