Aaron- I think so but with the world now relying on social media, you can now just check out a band on facebook or youtube, then if you liked them then maybe bands could make a few songs avaliable for download like my band does and if you like it enough you could buy their albums and see them live.
Do you reckon "Deluxe" albums would sell more, gaining all the special features that wouldn’t get if you bought the regular album?
Aaron- I think they would probably just stick to the album unless they were a massive fan of the band and wanted every song of theirs.
What are your thoughts on music piracy today, with the amount of music being downloaded everyday buy the public? Do you think it’s a good thing and helping the artists gain fans and more gig tours? Or do you think it’s ruining their careers, where they can’t make enough money through it?
Ben- Well its a double edged sword it helps get your name to the masses so people know what you sound like, but then also people don't buy the cd so you haven't got enough to make another. And especially with big bands the only way they make money is through touring and selling merch like t shirts etc. so it helps but also hinders.
Thanks for your time and answers, hope your music career goes well and your upcoming gigs. Thanks again. Have you got any gigs coming up?
Ben- Thanks. Yes, we're playing in Brighton on the 25th September and in London supporting D.O.A on their farewell tour on the 5th of october.
