One of the initial challenges that Pedro had to overcome was how to become a business . “ I got online and started researching , educating myself and determined that becoming an LLC was my best option . So , I figured out what documents I needed , how to navigate the system and what I needed to do legally .” Although he used his savings to start his business , he found marketing unnecessary because of the snowball effect of getting repeat business and referrals .
By 2016 he was a partner in a small construction company . But by 2018 , he left to launch PRESA Construction , LLC and , because he found construction work and running his own business challenging enough , he hasn ’ t lost interest and enjoys staying busy . “ Prior to incorporating my company , I was already making connections in the industry and applying the same drive that I had in the Marine corps . I studied , took and passed the test to get my general contractor license as soon as I could , and now , I can say that it definitely feels like a good fit for me .”
