Lisa M. Hayes,
This time of year, it's all about the love and the money. Valentine's Day is the third most commercial holiday on the calendar in terms of spending. The pressure to turn up the romance, or even find one at all, is intense.
Everyone feels it at Christmas, that need to bring more meaning to the holiday. However, I'm in the love business, so I feel that same urge when it comes to Valentine's Day too.
A celebration of love should be about more than flowers and cards. It should also last more than one day.
I have a tattoo on my left wrist that says, "Love is my Religion". This time of year I'm challenged to find more ways to make that a way of life than a catchy slogan.
These are six ways I'm planning on turning up the love this month.
1
Give More Hugs
Hugs are good for your health and your heart. None of us get enough of them.
2
Give more time
It's easy to write a check, but it's not always meaningful.
Giving time is a much more heart centered way to share my love.
