Charbonneau neighborhoods receive landscape updates

Landscape chairs plan for colors , types , designs of annual plantings

By KAREN SIEGEL
How many times have I heard “ When I turn off Miley and enter Charbonneau , I have such a sense of serenity ?” Could it be the beautiful trees and landscaping that surround the area ?
The majority of the trees are a result of the planning that took place when Charbonneau was developed but the landscaped areas are a result of the efforts of the Charbonneau Country Club , the various homeowner associations , their landscape chairs and our residents . Along with our contractors — each spring and fall — the landscape chairs plan for the colors , types and designs of the annual plantings .
When you enter Charbonneau you are greeted by a beautiful water feature welcoming you to Charbonneau . I recently had the pleasure of working with Garron Grounds to beautify the next intersection at French Prairie and Boone ’ s Bend that welcomes you to CHOA as you turn onto Boones Bend . One side of that intersection was previously just a grassy patch with a fire hydrant as its main feature . Now it has been completely transformed with rhododendrons , lavender , grasses and a rock “ stream ” bed — the fire hydrant will no longer be the main feature but is still accessible . There are other areas throughout CHOA that have had recent improvements such as the CHOA “ A ” neighborhood , where the plantings were showing their age and have been replaced .
Those are just two of the many CHOA neighborhood areas that sport beautiful flowers and shrubbery . Thank you to all the CHOA residents who fill their yards and patios with wonderful plantings .
We hope you enjoy visiting or living in Charbonneau .

So , how do you play that ? Under Rule 11.1b , when a ball is deflected by an “ outside influence ,” such as a tractor , it is normally played as it lies .
So what happens if the ball was deflected out of bounds off the tractor ? If that is the case , the ball landed out of bounds and you play it under penalty of stroke and distance . Fortunately , in the event that was referenced , the ball was playable and inbounds !
