Boys & Girls Aid

By MARGIE WIESENTHAL

Stay tuned for September fundraiser

“ Nearly 3,000 children in Oregon are removed from their homes each year because of neglect and abuse . Most of these children
WIESENTHAL are younger than 6 years old .”
Suzan Huntington , our CEO and president , shared this information in a recent letter from Boys & Girls Aid . She goes on to say : “ These children deserve love and the opportunity to thrive with a family . And while not everyone can be a foster of adoptive parent , everyone can help children in foster care and the families who open their hearts and homes for them .”
We at the Cypress Branch of Boys & Girls Aid in Charbonneau are aware that the time , energy and resources we give to this organization is worth it . We are getting ready for the fundraising event of the year . It will be Sept . 18 . Previously called the Crab and Rib Dinner , it may be different this year but will have the same energizing effect on those who attend .
If you have attended in the recent past you will receive an invitation . If you do not receive an invitation but would like to attend call Boys & Girls Aid at 503-222-9661 .
We believe that children removed from their homes and who come to Boys & Girls Aid are the fortunate ones because they receive the help they need . This illustration shows only a small part of what is done for them . The funds we raise at our Crab and Rib Dinner make all the difference for these boys and girls .
