By MARY FIEWEGER
We are back ! Wonderful seeing our fellow Niners at the first mixer on March 3 . There was lots of laughter and

“ why did the ball go over there ?”
In March , Deb Nemes and Sue Schneider hosted a coffee for our social members thanking them for their support at our scrambles and encouraging them to be involved on committees . Each social member introduced herself and shared their very impressive backgrounds . Deb decorated the tables with flowers and handcrafted all the coverings for the pots ! Sue announced : “ We got a call from Netflix to do your life story . They want to know what actress should portray you ?” We have Judy Bonino as Sandra Bullock ; Cricket Anderson as Jane Fonda ; Cindy DiCenzo as Sally Field ; Paula Johnson as Candice Bergen ; Ginger Robbins as Audrey Hepburn ; Sandy Shaner as Judy Dench ; Connie Taylor as Sally Field ; Lynn Theis as Carol Channing ; Marilyn Elwood as Meryl Streep and Jan Shaver as Judy Dench . Who would portray you ? Let ’ s all thank our social members , we are a team !
“ Do you need help ? Can I do that for you ? Is there anything I can assist you with ?” These questions would be asked often by our seasoned Niner , Dianne Reiter . Dianne has been a Niner since 2005 . She and her husband , Ron , met in kindergarten and have been married for 55 years . They have one daughter and three grandchildren and have lived in Charbonneau since 2004 . When Dianne joined the Niners she jumped right into volunteering for all the activities that were presented to her . Dianne has worked on scrambles , the annual banquet , treasurer for five years , couples events , guest day , dynamic duo and Pink Ball . She has done the handbook and roster and is currently doing both . When volunteering for the Pink Ball , Dianne is the one
who puts the memorial signs on the golf course at 6 a . m . before the tournament begins . She also works on getting prizes and helps set up the tables and decorations for Pink Ball . Dianne also works with Boys and Girls Aid and is a member of the Niners Charbonette Dance Team , which is probably her favorite activity . She has taken golf lessons and was “ Queen of Clubs ” for the championship in 2010 . Dianne had her picture on the golf course for the newspaper . When the photo came out , there was a picture of Dianne teeing off with her ball still on the tee . She and her friends will always remember the Niner who had a great swing with no results ! Dianne said her main reason for being so active is she has met

so many good people and knows they will be life-long friends . A big thank you to Dianne for all her contributions to the Niners .
First Niner mixer results by Karen Siegel
Twenty-eight Niners had a beautiful day to enjoy the Green Course . It was so great to see the results of the hard work all the volunteers have done and are doing to clean up our course after the ice storm . A big thank you to them .
Cory Larro , Charbonneau ’ s assistant pro , started the event with a great instructional session on chipping stance , club placement and swing . You could hear “ Thank you , Cory ” all afternoon long as the golfers practiced what Cory preached !
Social members Rosemary Ricken , Mary Tillery and Karen Cary were at the first tee to give each golfer a Charbonneau pouch filled with treats and at the ninth hole to wave the checkered flag and offer one of Mary ’ s great cookies .
Join the fun and sign up for the Niner mixer every Wednesday afternoon
starting at 1:35-2:43 p . m . We have eight tee times reserved for foursomes , and if participation is good in March , we can continue this through our regular season .
In addition , at 1 p . m . prior to play each Wednesday , Cory will continue to give a brief review of golf techniques .
Just call the Pro Shop to be added to the tee sheet for the Niner mixer and you will be scheduled with the next available tee time . The foursomes are paired on a first-come , first-served basis . Each golfer is responsible for paying their own golf fee at check-in time and posting their score on GHIN at the end of play .

Cricket moved to Charbonneau 35 years ago ! When she moved here there were no houses on the left side of French Prairie . You could see the river and the Frank Lloyd Wright House , which
BRAZELTON has been moved to Oregon Gardens .
