VEDDER means a cooler summer ahead , then I ’ m all for it . We ’ ll just wait and see .
Sunshine Service has completely moved over to the new facility and if you haven ’ t dropped by yet , be sure make the effort . Our items are displayed much better and the lighting is amazing ! The basement section that we occupied for so many years is a thing of the past now . I ’ m sure that volunteers as well as clients can well

understand the celebratory mood we ’ re in !
Our column was overlooked last month so there are a few things that should be mentioned this time around . The most important point I could make is this : SUNSHINE IS RUN STRICTLY BY VOLUNTEERS . CCC , ADMINISTRATION AND OTHER AREAS THAT INCLUDE VOLUN- TEERS CANNOT HELP YOU . When you wish to borrow a piece of medical equipment , or return one , you have to do it with one of the volunteers listed in your Charbonneau Directory on the “ Sunshine ” page .
The functions of the new facility are many . Thus there are OTHER volunteers in those categories . We are separate and our section is locked to everybody with the exception of those in need of equipment . We have a doubleentry system that requires information as to whom we are loaning things to . Once returned in a timely manner , you will be CHECKED OUT and no longer be responsible for what you borrowed . Many times I have had to phone people to please return items because they ’ ve been out for an extended period of time . Your name is

STILL in our records until things are brought back .
Leaving things at the front desk rather than coordinating with one of our volunteers is a major problem . Staff , receptionists , etc . have NO idea of how our system works . Another point here : We only take donations when they have been discussed with us . Presently , we have too many of some items and have no need for more . When you just leave things off , it creates a major headache for yours truly because then it becomes MY job to find a “ home ” for those items and quite often they will end up at the dump ! I urge you to try and find a place , on your own , where those things might be needed . Remember , I do this as a VOLUNTEER . I don ’ t get paid to do so .
One final note here : We only loan things to people who live in Charbonneau . Sorry but we cannot help your sister ’ s neighbor ’ s cousin . Too bad if they don ’ t live in an organized community like we do , but those are the rules .
SpringRidge residents are welcome to use this system as well ; we will help with delivery if you no longer drive .

Golf scramble and lunch scheduled for June 3 BALES & BORST
“ Spring in to Summer ” is this month ’ s theme but considering that April was the WET- TEST ever , it may be more appropriately titled “ SWIM in to Summer .”
Unfortunately our May 5 scramble , lunch and meeting were cancelled due to weather
and an increase in COVID-19 cases . Here ’ s to hoping the rain subsides and COVID-19 has settled by the time you are reading this article . Plans are in place for our next golf scramble and lunch gathering on June 3 in the Pavilion . Signup sheets are in the Pro Shop .
CWGA is pleased to have representation on the CGC ( Golf Club Board ) and on the Greens committee for the golf course . To effectively
