Water system upgrade for golf course , HOAs
The Charbonneau Water Company , which is a solelyowned subsidiary of the Charbonneau Golf Club and operates under the guidelines of a public utility , recently complet-

ed a major upgrade to its water delivery system . The upgrade includes a new state-of-theart pump system with three 65 hp pumps , new controls that allow remote access and operation , a new above-ground pump house located near the ninth green on the Yellow course and an overdue clean out of the main water storage pond located between the ninth hole greens on the Green and Yellow courses .
These all replace a system that had been installed in 1975 and had more than outlived its projected life .
The Charbonneau Water Company not only provides all the water for the maintenance of the 27 holes of golf , but also the non-potable water for 13 Charbonneau HOAs serving approximately 800 single-family residences . The Charbonneau Water company delivers almost 89 million gallons of water on an annual basis . As the older system aged , repair parts were becoming difficult to find and system breakdowns were occurring more frequently . These downtimes were adversely affecting the condition of the golf course and landscaping around some of the homes , particularly when we had dry , hot weather . Our golf course grounds crew had the additional responsibility of operating and maintaining the system on the course and to the HOA control boxes . This often required our superintendent , Matt Collier , to be on site at off hours to manually set the controls . The new system controls now allow Matt to remotely operate the system utilizing a

We have a kids camp and a pro exhibition coming up
The sun is finally shining and activities are lined up for tennis this summer !
We will start the summer tennis season
GRAY with a “ Free Clinic ” for all Charbonneau residents . The clinic will be with our pro Donna Roisom and will be held Sunday , July 10 from 10:30 a . m . -12 p . m . at the tennis center . Please sign up at the activity center . Don ’ t forget that a summer outdoor membership for residents is currently $ 80 plus $ 50 for initiation . This membership entitles you to both outdoor tennis and pickleball .
Kids Camp will again be offered for not only children and grandchildren of members , but also Charbonneau residents ’ families . There will be three sessions this year because of last year ’ s popularity . July 11- 15 starts off for beginners , July 18-22 is for intermediate players and August 8-12 will be offered for high school only .
Our popular Annual Pro Exhibition featuring local club pros will again entertain on August 7 . All are welcome to view this display of pro talent . For tennis members only , the annual BBQ dinner will be served following the pro exhibit . We hope that residents that enjoy a great tennis match will come out and feel part of the excitement !
We all know that the tennis club is changing and more events will take place at the tennis center . Many opportunities are emerging for the enjoyment of our community and their families . Please take a look and get involved in a sport that adds excitement to your life in Charbonneau .
