An update from the CHOA Board

Remembering the good , the bad of 2020
Looking back on 2020 it will be remembered for lots of good and bad things .
First the bad : We are still fighting a pandemic that has changed almost every aspect of our lives . There is social unrest that continues in many of our cities and although the smoke is gone , the numerous fires across our state left massive devastation . Travel is still a dream for many of us and we still can ’ t enjoy family gatherings or crowd together in a packed Reser Stadium ( well , maybe not packed but at least more people than now !).
Now the good things : We learned quickly how to stay in touch with family , friends and co-workers by learning new technologies like Zoom and WebEx . We ’ ve learned how to make our own face masks , stay 6 feet apart and discovered different types of food

In my first year as your CHOA Board president , we have yet to have a meeting in person . However , that hasn ’ t stopped us from being productive . By using Zoom we have been able to get many things accomplished . This is because I am blessed to have fellow volunteer board members that know their jobs and do them very well ! Even with the challenges that 2020 has given us , your CHOA Board has been able to continue to function to support you , the homeowners . A few of our projects this year were getting Rec Hall C ’ s bathroom upgraded and the interior completely painted , bark dust on all the frontages throughout CHOA and due to homeowner input , kept the pools open later .
I look forward to working with the rest of the CHOA Board in 2021 and we all would like to wish everyone a great holiday season and a happy New Year .

Holiday Art Festival coming to Charbonneau
People can browse local art at the Village Center

Support our Charbonneau art community and enjoy an array of unique and one-of-a-kind holiday gifts for friends and family ! The market will provide a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their talents !
Meet your Charbonneau artists ! Prepandemic , we held a wildly popular art show here in Charbonneau . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , it was a virtual show this year . Many of our artists lost much of their annual revenue this year and virtual shows were not great sellers . This art festival will provide a great opportunity for our local art community . The event will be Dec . 2-6 from 10 a . m . to 4 p . m . in the empty , small store in our Village Center at 31840 SW Charbonneau Drive , Suite A .
