There ’ s more time to provide feedback

At its July 2022 Board of Directors meeting the Board established several 2022-2023 goals , one of which is to “ advance the effectiveness of CCC ’ s communications chan-

nels .” Our committee , comprised of six Charbonneau residents , immediately began work on this goal . Our first task was to understand just how effective our current communications are . To do that we devised Charbonneau ’ s first “ QuickPoll ,” a snapshot of residents ’ viewpoints about how well we communicate today , and how we may communicate better moving forward .
We launched the survey in mid- September through an email to the 1,200 residents who have provided their email addresses to CCC . We followed that up with several emails through mid-October . We also advertised the survey in the October Villager and posted signs promoting the survey around the community . In addition , some of the individual HOAs sent emails to their residents encouraging a survey response . Claudia Vidal , our CCC Administrative Assistant , also provided information about

the survey to residents entering the Activity Center , and committee member Tom Kells and others distributed information about the survey to residents .
As of Oct . 6 , we had received 315 responses to the survey . We greatly appreciate every resident who took a few minutes to provide us with their viewpoints and ideas . We will use the intelligence they have provided to us to define communication initiatives that respond to the key themes and findings that emerge from the survey . But we ’ d also like to hear from more of our residents , because all voices are important in helping us set the future of Charbonneau ’ s communications with you .
So , to provide maximum opportunities for more input , we ’ re doing two things : 1 ) we ’ re extending the deadline to respond to the survey to Nov . 10 ; and 2 ) we ’ re providing a printed copy of the survey to anyone who chooses to respond in writing vs . responding online . You can pick up a copy at the reception desk in the Activity Center ; or , if that ’ s not convenient for you , call me at 503-896-9013 and I ’ ll arrange to get a survey delivered to you . When you ’ ve completed the survey , you can drop it off at the reception desk in the Activity Center or deposit it in the drop box next to the Activity Center front doors .
We hope this added response time and the availability of a printed survey will make it easier for you to share your opinions and ideas about Charbonneau ’ s communications with us .
Thanks in advance for your assistance in helping the Communications Committee advance the effectiveness of Charbonneau ’ s communications with you .

Moving from a 117-acre tree farm to Charbonneau is a lifechanging move !
Rick Saries had been in the treefarming business for over 34 years and there must have been a real attraction to make this happen .
Living near their four grandchildren was the draw for Rick and his wife , Peg . Charbonneau has the lifestyle that would provide a wonderful place to enjoy family and they have plans for the grandkids to enjoy tennis in the future . Rick and Peg jumped right into the tennis club community when they moved here seven years ago . Charbonneau Tennis Club provided great exercise and new friends abound ! Rick had always loved tennis , but opportunities as a youth were limited . From age 11-14 tennis was nothing but hitting off a

backboard . The tennis club fulfilled their desire to get back into the game . Rick plays with a group of guys on some days and mixed doubles with Peg on others . As an enthusiastic tennis club member . Rick enjoys the opportunity to give back to the club that has brought him so much enjoyment . This brings us to the photo of Rick . When he was approached to assist in the new design of the lobby , Rick , who has a degree in fine art , had a few ideas ! His design has added new life to the lobby ! Thanks Rick !
