SIDNEY THOMPSON
Oskaloosa
Thompson became a state qualifier for a third year in a row and would get off to a slower start with a pair of games of 160. Needing a big third game, Thompson would come through with a 251. Unfortunately for the junior, she would still fall 30 pins shy of the top eight and would finish 13th with her 571 series.

OTTUMWA
Sigourney
After helping bring home the program’ s 11th state team championship last season, Clubb nearly became Ottumwa’ s first individual state bowling champion since 2009 this season. Clubb made it all the way to the Class 2A state individual bowling title match, rolling eight straight strikes at one point on the way to posting the second-best qualifying score for bracket play at state before winning by a combined 136 pins in two rounds of bracket play on the way to a second-place individual finish.
Montgomery earned a second trip to the Class 1A girls state bowling tournament, joining S-K teammate Sophia Young in clinching a top-four regional tournament finish at Champion Bowl in Ottumwa. Montgomery vaulted into the top four, bouncing back from a 151 opening game to post a 567 series, making it to state for the second time in three years by just 10 pins.
