Although her season was cut in half because of the injury, Kirkpatrick still had an incredible run through the 2024- 25 wrestling season. She finished with just two losses on the year, making it all the way to the 130-pound Class 1A state championship match. She had 25 victories and placed at every meet she wrestled in.

Utterback concluded one of the great prep wrestling careers by winning her second consecutive state championship, pinning Erica Irvine of Don Bosco to win the 115-pound Class 1A title match completing two unbeaten seasons of sanctioned IGHSAU girls wrestling. Not only was Utterback able to gain her 104th consecutive victory, and earn a second-straight state championship, but she also grabbed her 130th career win by pin pinning all of her opponents that she faced in her two trips to the IGH- SAU girls state wrestling tournament.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont
Smith bounced back from a second-round loss at the state tournament, closing out her first year of varsity wrestling by securing a fourth-place finish in the Class 1A portion of the girls state wrestling tournament at 120 pounds by scoring a pair of falls and a 13-1 major decision against Osage senior Madison Swenson, closing out a 42-8 freshman season.
