CARE FOR THE COURSE
Every semester, Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy students give back to their home golf training facility by spending a day working on
the golf course! This October, all Full-Time Program Students spent their Sunday caring for the Las Colinas golf course at Mission
Inn Resort. Students spent the day filling divots on the fairway with sand mixture and repairing ball marks on the greens.
“This is an opportunity for the students to show how much they care about their training facilities.” says Bryan Mulry , Director of
Golf . “This is another demonstration of these student’s professionalism and integrity.”
Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL features two award-winning golf
courses, El Campeón and Las Colinas, and is home to GGGA’s private training facility .
The 36 holes of exceptional and challenging play are where GGGA students “Train like
Champions” and once a semester: take care like champions!

This fall semester course care is important as it allows the grass to recuperate from use.
Students helped repair pitch marks, divots and damaged spots while taking steps to help
maintain healthy grass growth. This is an opportunity for students to work together as a
team to give back to their home course.
STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
GGGA has a new tradition that started with this Fall Semester! “Student of the Week” is a prized title given
to a student when they go above and beyond, showing exemplary character and truly act like a champion!
Students receive a custom embroidered shoe bag with their name and GGGA logo. Students also get to take
control of the GGGA Snapchat for the entire week. Follow us to see more of life at GGGA!
