spaces to maximize independence in performing
activities of daily living. Examples include installation

door openings and adaptation of door handles; and
installation of roll-in showers and non-skid flooring.
Income-qualified persons with disabilities and their
families must reside in the home to be modified, the
home must be within the Arlington city limits, and the

visual or hearing impairments, and installation of accessible showers, toilets, and sinks.
This program provides one-time grants for up to $22,500 per home. Funds target qualifying individuals who
earn no more than 80 percent of the area median family income, updated annually.
