Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau
Susan Rathke CVB Director
As 2016 was coming to an end , I looked back and could say we had a pretty good year . But even more so , I know that 2017 is looking to be even better for tourism in Emporia . As part of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce , I must say we ’ re in a very good place . As chamber employees , we have a fantastic team of women led by President Jeanine McKenna . I can ’ t think of a better place to work every day than here in the Trusler Business Center . We all work every day to make Emporia , Kansas , a great place to live , work , play and visit . Emporia has grown as a popular destination in the tourism world .
I ’ d like to thank our Emporia tourism partners ; hoteliers , attraction managers , city and county government , event planners , restaurant and retail managers , civic and service organizations , volunteers , and members of the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board AND all the welcoming and generous citizens in Emporia that help make this city so great .
We are looking forward to continuing the promotion of Emporia in 2017 as the award-winning city that it truly is . The Emporia Convention and Visitors Bureau is here to assist you with event planning . For tours , meetings and conventions , weddings and reunions , we are ready to help .
