What does Cividale do to promote the CFMUNESCO?
There is a big responsibility for the town council to promote the advertising of the Conference on the periodical of the Municipality on the page dedicated to the hundredth anniversary of World War I and to host the students in the best venues and sites of our town.
I know the CFMUNESCO this time commemorates the centenary of the first World War and this is another link with the City Council as we've organized the ceremony of the blowing up of the Devil's Bridge. In addition to that Cividale is a UNESCO and international town also thanks to the past years' work of the City Government.
What would you say to the students who attend the CFMUNESCO?
I would say that you are very lucky you are students at CNPD because you are helped to carry out your studies in a very motivating way, often using a problem solving-based method and to have a confrontation with other students in the role of real delegates, a unique experience in a Secondary School.
This year a committee of the CFMUNESCO, the Historical Committee, is held in Kobarid. What are the contacts between these towns now?
The present relations with Kobarid are open, especially from the touristic point of view. Together we are carrying out some international projects, for example, related to the historical railway that used to link Cividale and Kobarid. Moreover we have cooperated with Slovenia in the European project focused on the Puppet Theater that was created in Cividale by Vittorio Podrecca but that had some similar representatives in Slovenia. Also the president, Barut Pahor, often comes to Cividale for cultural events like the 2016 edition of Mittelfest.

Ms Patrizia Pavatti, the principal of CNPD, spoke about the important results achieved by the students in the setting up of the event and how they can thus develop the ability of solving problems and achieve objectives. She focused on the new historical committee to remember and reflect on the effects of the First World War. "It's essential to promote and improve cultural interaction and to teach people to respect other cultures since a young age" said Ms. Pavatti "That's why Cividale is cooperating with Kobarid".
