SP15b – Special Education Fiscal Management

SP16 - Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluations, development, implementation and
provision of speech and language services for identified students in the assigned districts. Speech and Language
Therapy cost is calculated based on the percentage of time each therapist works in each district.

SP17 - Virtual Secretary
This position manages and maintains student files (electronic and on-site), creates and processes IEP team
paperwork with the special education staff, the district School Psychologist and Special Education Director.
Our virtual secretaries have the special education knowledge base that enables them to assist with the various
reporting requirements determined by DPI. Virtual Secretary cost is calculated based on the percentage of time
assigned to a district.
How Can This Service Benefit Your District?
Special Education records are governed by numerous policies with IDEA, HIPPA and FERPA. These
records are subject to regular audit reviews and protect the district in the case of a Federal due process
or IDEA complaint. This position requires a strong knowledge base in special education secretarial
duties.
