It’s like wedding planning heaven! Following your peers on social media in general inspires us, making it so easy to create online mood boards!

Seasons are another obvious source for inspiration. The colours around us at the moment, as the weather turns autumnal, just naturally turns your thoughts to deeper reds, burn oranges, sumptuous golds!!

What do you love most about your job?

Lisa: Being able to play a small part in a couples special day. It really is an honour and privilege to be a part of a day they will remember forever!

Katie: I truly love so many aspects of my job. But if I had to choose one favourite, it would be looking over my workshop just before I load up for delivery. When everything is complete and you can see before you the bride's vision you have created for her.

What’s the strangest request you’ve ever had?

No strange wedding requests as yet - but Lisa has been asked to make a man in a graduation gown sitting on a Cornish pasty as a cake. Obviously she loved making it!

What one piece of advice would you give to couples getting married?

For a wedding – take a moment to step back, watch and take in the atmosphere. And make sure you hit the dancefloor!

For a marriage – give yourself time to laugh together!

Which other suppliers that you’ve worked with would you recommend and why?

We both love Shades of White in St.Ives, Cambridgeshire. A fabulous bridal shop with a great name and a location with amazing views! They have a wide range of dresses for every style and shape. We can highly recommend from personal experience!

We would also recommend Kate Towers Photography. She is a fantastic photographer who produces stunning images.
