“ The children in the foster care system typically live unstable lives . Our trained volunteers advocate for these children , and they are vital . Children assigned a CASA are more likely to : find a safe , permanent home ; spend less time in foster care ; improve in school and behavior ; and avoid re-entry into foster care . And anyone can become a CASA volunteer . It takes around six to eight hours a month that can be scheduled at the volunteer ’ s convenience .”

Mission : As Court Appointed Special Advocates ( CASA ), our mission is to be the voice for children who have been victims of abuse and / or neglect . Our vision is to serve every child in the River Region by providing them with a caring and competent trained volunteer .
