“ We serve patients from 32 counties in central Alabama , not just the River Region . Many travel more than two hours one-way , several times a week , for appointments and treatments . In 2022 , we provided $ 172,817 in transportation assistance , which includes 7,194 unique rides for patients who do not have access to transportation and gas vouchers for those who have transportation , but can ’ t afford fuel . Last year , we also provided $ 28,560,347 in assistance with medications . Our direct support and services take away some of the financial burdens , allowing patients to focus on their cancer journey .”
