10TH ANNUAL FCS KICKOFF HOSTED AT HISTORIC CRAMTON BOWL
The 10th FCS Kickoff launched the start of the 2024 college football season featuring the University of North Alabama and Southeast Missouri State on August 24 . The FCS Kickoff dates back to the 2014 season . The event ’ s first three games were played at campus sites before ESPN Events , a division of ESPN , brought the game to Montgomery in 2017 . This was the seventh FCS Kickoff played at the Cramton Bowl , and this year , they introduced various upgrades to the historic Cramton Bowl stadium including a new videoboard and new stadium lights .

AUM RECOGNIZED AMONG THE SOUTH ’ S TOP UNIVERSITIES
Auburn University at Montgomery ( AUM ) maintained its standing as one of the best regional universities in the South , according to U . S . News & World Report ’ s newly released 2025 Best Colleges survey . AUM placed No . 32 overall among public regional universities in the South and 65th overall among its peers . AUM ’ s nursing program was also included on the website ’ s list of the Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs . AUM earned a No . 29 ranking as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans in the South and placed No . 55 among Best Value Universities in the South .

DREAM COURT RECEIVED A WHEELCHAIR TENNIS GRASSROOTS GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES TENNIS ASSOCIATION
Jessica Weyreuter founded Dream Court over a decade ago to provide adaptive tennis programs for hundreds of individuals of all ages with physical , developmental and / or intellectual disabilities . Last month , the organization was awarded a United States Tennis Association ( USTA ) Wheelchair Tennis Grassroots Grant . Weyreuter says Dream Court plans to purchase wheelchair equipment and host a training camp in October with the grant money .
