U . S . Senator Katie Britt visited Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama , LLC ( HMMA ). Senator Britt visited with HMMA ’ s leadership team and was presented an overview of current vehicle production activities , team member benefits and the company ’ s charitable investments and strategies which make HMMA an employer of choice in the River Region . Senator Britt was also given a tour of the facility which showcased HMMA ’ s hardworking team members and advanced automation assembling the award-winning Hyundai Santa Fe , Tucson , and Santa Cruz , and the luxury Genesis GV70 and Electrified GV70 SUV .

Montgomery County has been selected to join the prestigious Innovate Alabama Network , a comprehensive resource to connect communities , nonprofits and higher education institutions across Alabama fostering innovation in their local footprint . Through this designation program , Innovate Alabama recognizes those who are shaping the state ’ s ecosystem . Montgomery County is one of only four counties in the state to be given this honor .

US CONGRESSMAN BARRY MOORE VISITED 17 SPRINGS
The 17 Springs project partners were honored with the opportunity to provide U . S . Representative Barry Moore ( AL-02 ) with a personal tour of the 17 Springs multisports complex , including Phase II and The Marketplace currently under construction . Phase II , scheduled to be completed in February 2025 , includes an 86,000 square foot spacious event venue , a stadium with a competitive running track , and six softball / baseball fields . By the end of the year , pad-ready lots will be available in The Marketplace for retail / commercial uses .
