The Town is approaching each opportunity with careful consideration of the future . Thoughtful planning for sustainable growth will move the Town of Pike Road forward with purpose , while still maintaining character . Infrastructure improvements and expanding services are also on the horizon .
Enhancing Quality of Life
A focus on quality of life keeps citizens connected through unprecedented population growth . The ENHANCE initiative powers all of the Town ’ s quality-of-life activities . From the Pike Road Arts Council to the Agriculture & Recreation Committee , the Town of Pike Road is creating opportunities for continuing education and building connections . ENHANCE initiative programs cover subjects so diverse there is something for every interest . The Town ’ s partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System provides monthly workshops and seminars in everything from lawn care to gardening and larger-scale agricultural support . The Pike Road Arts Center is home to creative works from nearly 100 local artists . These activities also include regular art shows and workshops in a variety of techniques . As the Town of Pike Road grows , so do opportunities to connect with one another . Plus , with partners including Troy University Continuing Education & Outreach , the Auburn University Government &
Economic Development Institute , the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and local businesses , the Pike Road Business Association ’ s offerings connect business leaders with the knowledge-based opportunities of tomorrow . These programs are designed to inspire and encourage business growth and success . Participation is open to all area businesses , as well as those interested in starting new endeavors .
In addition to the continually expanding programming provided by the Town ’ s ENHANCE initiative , additional recreation amenities are on the horizon . The new Pike Road Agriculture , Recreation & Performing Arts Park currently offers a covered arena and youth baseball fields , as well as a multipurpose community education facility that is now home to the Montgomery County branch of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System .
Future projects in the Town include tennis courts , an amphitheater and more . As part of a commitment to expand natural resource amenities , the Town continues to develop its parks and the Natural Trail system , a pedestrian-friendly opportunity to get outside and connect with neighbors .
