1 . OVER 8,300 HOUSING UNITS PLANNED OR UNDERWAY ACROSS MONTGOMERY Montgomery ’ s housing growth doesn ’ t show signs of slowing down . There are 5,157 new housing units either under construction or planned and 3,194 potential housing developments . Combined , these developments equal 8,351 new housing units .
2 . MONTGOMERY WELCOMES 350 JOBS WITH NEW BEVERAGE FACILITIES Manna Beverages and Ventures ’ plan to establish a 180-acre beverage park at the Hope Hull exit off I-85 is expected to create 280 new jobs . The $ 600 million beverage production and distribution facility is expected to be operational this year . Another beverage company , Diageo , has announced plans for a manufacturing facility in Montgomery that is expected to add 76 jobs . The $ 415 million facility will be Diageo ’ s first in Alabama .

3 . MONTGOMERY SECURES $ 30M DATA CENTER INVESTMENT DC BLOX announced a transformative $ 30M investment in a new data center in Montgomery . A leading provider of digital infrastructure across the Southeastern United States , DC BLOX selected Montgomery as one of three new hyperscale edge node sites . This hyperscale facility will provide up to 40MW capacity , supporting industry giants like Amazon , Meta and Microsoft .
4 . NEW PORT FACILITY SET TO BOOST MONTGOMERY ’ S ECONOMIC CONNECTIVITY The Alabama Port Authority ’ s 2022 initiative aims to establish a multi-million dollar inland port facility in Montgomery , extending the reach of its container intermodal terminal at the Port of Mobile . This intermodal terminal , designed to transfer goods seamlessly between transportation modes , will be strategically located west of Interstate 65 . The facility will support the region ’ s retail , distribution , agribusiness and manufacturing sectors . Pending approval from the Federal Railroad Administration , the project is poised to advance toward completion in 2025 .
