It was a lovely and cool evening in April at the Lange Park recreation ground as Chaguanas residents came out to enjoy an outdoor movie taking place there for the first time as part of the TT Film Festival ’ s Community Cinergy Series , sponsored by BPTT Community Energy .

A large screen was set up by the folks at the TTFF and organizer Melvina Hazard introduced the film to the audience that filled the stand on the grounds . As joggers , walkers and babies being pushed in prams made their way around the tracks , dozens sat and watched the movie The World of Goopi and Bagha , an Indian movie with English subtitles .
The event was meant to be an occasion for families and residents of all ages to come out and enjoy a movie , a chance to bring communities and people together for a fun time . It was the first time in some years that the Community Cinergy Series was coming back to Chaguanas and the organisers are hopeful that as more people become aware of this free and fun event , they will see a growing audience for next year ’ s movie and movies of the future .
