Ella
C . McFadden Endowment
Just a few short years after the All Saints Health Foundation was established , it received a substantial gift from the estate of Ella C . McFadden , a philanthropist who supported many Fort Worth institutions during her lifetime . Twenty years following Mrs . McFadden ’ s death in 1965 , her charitable trust made its final distribution , including a $ 7.2 million gift to All Saints , which established an endowment that still supports the hospital today .
The All Saints Health Foundation was formed in 1982 to raise and manage charitable funds to support All Saints Episcopal Hospital . In its first year , the Foundation received 170 donations totaling about $ 1 million .
Since its inception , the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation has received more than 110,000 gifts from generous individuals , foundations , companies , and grateful patients and families , totaling more than $ 160 million . Today , more than 4,000 donors annually support our mission to make healthcare better for the communities we serve . . Philanthropy has never been more important in healthcare than it is now . Donor support improves our ability to train future physicians and nurses , purchase advanced technology and integrate music to enhance healing .
Please enjoy this brief travel through time highlighting 40 milestones and achievements over our 40 years that philanthropy helped make possible .
