Faithful People: A Global Vision in Motion

“ May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us …”
These words from Psalm 67 stir a deep longing for God’ s favor, presence, and peace. It is a familiar prayer, one that invites us into the warmth of divine grace. Yet the psalm does not end there. After a brief Selah, a sacred moment to reflect, it turns outward, shifting from the blessing received to the purpose revealed:“… that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.”
This movement captures what it means to be a faithful people serving a faithful God.
Faithfulness is not self-generated; it flows from encountering God, being immersed in his grace, and being changed by his presence. Only those who have“ drunk deeply” from that living water are equipped to serve as his ambassadors. God’ s grace stirs hearts to him and then sends them outward to a lost world. Their lives point beyond themselves, driven by a greater purpose: the vision of Christ made known among the nations.
As we celebrate faithful people, we ultimately glorify a faithful God who works through willing lives to bear fruit. Around the world, this vision lives on through OMS’ commitment to multiplying disciples, churches, leaders, and missionaries. Serving in 87 countries, OMS pursues world transformation through authentic Christ-centered communities.
At the heart of this mission is disciple-making. For OMS, evangelism and discipleship are inseparable— a shared journey of learning and living out Christ’ s teachings.
In Mozambique, this takes shape through the Somos Nós ministry, which serves people with disabilities who are often marginalized within their communities. In Taiwan, an adaptive baseball program for people with disabilities opens similar doors, bringing not only joy to participants but also new openness to the Gospel among families.
