Brummana High School and Kilkenny College. So finally the trail of Bishop Pococke will be presented for the first time to researchers and academics in Lebanon at the Municipal Palace of Zouk Mikael – Lebanon in January 2014. We also intend holding a Lebanon Day in November and starting a series of lectures to revive the study of Gibran in Ireland. We are just waiting for the release of the publications of the 2nd International Gibran Conference to announce the program of lectures. And to raise funds for children with hearing disabilities in Lebanon we are preparing a musical evening in September. The ILCF has received many awards for its work. You were also awarded a certificate of recognition from the President of Ireland, Mrs Mary McAlisse, for your work as a volunteer in the field of arts and culture in 2009. What were your feelings on receiving this award? President McAlisse is a true supporter of Lebanon. Her words of encouragement and sympathy during the war on Lebanon in 2006 are a credit to this nation. For this reason the award carries a huge significance to me and to us all. The fact that we were nominated, and later on shortlisted, for the award at National level is an accolade in itself.
