The Midnight Criespart 5 of 6
Under Macbeth's castle in Scotland, Jason walked across the dark
room and bent over slowly. He
looked at the young girl and saw
that her hands and feet were tied
to the wall. He gently untied the
ropes, and surveyed her wounds.
“Did they hurt you at all Erika?” Jason asked as he scooped up the little
fragile girl into his arms.
“He hit me, but please sir, I just want
to go home.” She said as her voice
cracked and tears started to run
down her cheeks.
“Don't worry I'm going to take you
home.” Jason said soothingly as Erika
wrapped her puggie arms around
his neck, and he walked back the way
he had came.

Adam trudged on and then
he started to see a dim light at the
end of the tunnel. It started to grow
brighter as he came closer to it.
He could hear a man and a woman
talking. He came to the opening and
stood in the door way, the two people turned to look at him and their
conversation faded. Adam staggered
into the room, his hands at his sides.
“Where's the inspector, Deadric?
So, you were behind all of this, the
kidnaping of Erika James, and Claire
was with you on this the whole
time.” Adam said as he walked toward them.
“I guess you only figured all this out
recently.” Deadric said as he snickered. “You were so blinded by your
love, it effected the way you viewed
everything. And that will be your
down fall.” he said as he pulled a revolver from a holster on his belt, and

pointed it at the young detective.

Jason walked slowly back
down the tunnel his legs dragging
on the ground. Erika now asleep in
his arms, her young face looking so
at peace. Jason started to see a light
at the end of the tunnel and then he
started to hear voices. He quickly ran
into one of the rooms that lined the
corridor. He closed the door behind
him quickly, Erika opening her eyes
from all the commotion. Jason lowering her gently to the ground, and
then taking her hand into his. Behind
him he could hear a low noise, he
turned to see a screen and on the
screen was an image of 3 people in
a plain room. Jason recognized them
right away, and he could hear Adam
speaking.
“How you were able to kidnap Erika
from her house was that Claire did
it for you because, kids tend to trust
a womanly figure . It makes them
think of their mothers, so they trust
almost instantaneously. That's how
you got a little girl out of her house
without making a sound. And for
Claire's kidnapping, she just simply
walked away, and before the lights
even went out she had already
placed the note on my back.” Adam
said
“Well and here's a little thing for
you to think about, how come you
didn't figure all of this out from the
