CHHS Band Contest Results
Region 20 UIL Band Solo and Ensemble
Superior rating — 46 students
Advanced to state round of competition — 25 students
Jazz Band received a Superior rating for ensemble performance.
Additionally, the Cedar Hill High School Winterguard placed fourth in the North Texas Colorguard
Association finals.
Choir
Cedar Hill High School and Ninth Grade Center choirs and the Cedar Hill High School musical theatre
class partnered to create a one-night show, “Broadway Goes to the Movies!” The performance will include
standards as well as new favorites:

“Cinderella”
“Gentlemen Prefer
Blondes”
“Guys and Dolls”
“Les Miserables”
“Mary Poppins”
“Matilda”
“My Fair Lady”
“Ragtime”
“Sister Act 2”
“The Greatest Showman”
“The Music Man”
“The Princess and the Frog”
The show takes the stage Tuesday, May 15, at 7 p.m. at the Performing
Arts Center. Tickets are free.
