Dr . David Carlisle Honored by City of LA
CDU President and CEO Dr . David M . Carlisle was honored by the city of Los Angeles during the African American Heritage Month Celebration presented by Mayor Karen Bass .
President Carlisle received a Hall of Fame award at the event alongside Honorable Eric Holder ( ret .), Former U . S . Attorney General , Yvonne Wheeler , President , Los Angeles County Federation of Labor , and Honorable Herb Wesson ( ret .), First African
American Los Angeles City Council President . Hall of fame recipients were individuals who have gained national acclaim in the fields of Law , Labor , Higher Education , and Government .
The celebration also honored living legends including Ice Cube , producer , actor , and recording artist , Erica Campbell , urban contemporary gospel and Christian R & B recording artist , and Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr ., R & B recording artists .
