Adrienne Thompson has a passion for community engagement and describes herself as a servant Leader . Adrienne is currently a proud member of the Charles R . Drew University team , in the Mervyn M . Dymally School of Nursing . Adrienne has held positions in Student Affairs for more than twenty years ; 12 years at the University of Southern California and ten years at the University of California Los Angeles . Adrienne is a Life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Incorporated and currently serves on the International Leadership team representing the Far Western Region . She has been instrumental in encouraging the Sorority to support CDU through their HBCU initiative , which has yielded more than $ 50,000 in scholarship support . Her community and civic engagement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Stovall Foundation , of Los Angeles and the IVY Centennial Foundation of Culver City , CA . She is a member of the Inglewood Chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction where she serves as Parliamentarian and chair of the Community Partnerships Committee .
