Monica Ferrini , Ph . D
Dr . Monica G . Ferrini holds an MS in Biochemistry and a Ph . D . in Physiology from the University of Buenos Aires , Argentina . Currently , she is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Health and Life Sciences at CDU . In addition , she is the director of the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at CDU . She teaches Anatomy and Physiology for undergraduates and Advanced Anatomy in the master ' s program . Dr . Ferrini is a well-known researcher in the field of Neuroendocrinology and Urology . Her research focused on studying the effect of drugs in counteracting erectile dysfunction due to the nerve damage in radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer . Recently , her laboratory has been geared toward performing translational research that examines the efficacy of nutraceuticals that modulates nitric oxide production in the prevention of osteoporosis .
