For more than two decades , Angela Minniefield has been dedicated to public service . She previously held several leadership positions at the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development ( OSHPD ), where she advanced California ’ s policy and program efforts designed to increase the number of underrepresented students in health professions . As Deputy Director of the Healthcare Workforce Development Division at OSHPD , Angela oversaw programs that provide funding , services and technical assistance for health workforce development ; health professions education training ; loan repayment ; health professions pipeline activities and health professions shortage area designation . She currently serves as Senior Vice President of Strategic Advancement and Operations at Charles R . Drew University of Medicine and Science .
