Celebrating 10 Years of LibGuides at CDU Health Sciences Library
The CDU Health Sciences Library celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the implementation of LibGuides , a content management system launched in 2012 that enabled our library to organize and share informational resources based on subjects . The CDU Library began the program with a quest to curate library materials that would add value to the CDU educational programs . Since that time , more than 50 LibGuides have been added – including a specific LibGuide for each educational program .
The content in LibGuides consists of library licensed resources , and resources from government , societies , associations , and organizations in the health sciences and related fields . LibGuides can be shared with other libraries , as there are currently thousands of libraries that use the product .
Over the course of the last 10 years , CDU Health Sciences Library staff have invited faculty , students , and staff to participate in the use and creation of LibGuides . “ I invite all students to visit the CDU Library in the Cobb building to review the current selection of LibGuides or they can visit us on the web ,” shares Darlene Parker Kelly , CDU Library Director .
